Pisang Peak (6,091m) is one of the most beautiful and popular peaks in western Himalayans of Nepal.  it is located in the majestic Annapurna region and lies on the way to one of the world’s highest passes providing spectacular views of the western mountains such as Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri.

The western face of the mountain is surrounded by a massive glacier and is a difficult route to choose. The western edge is loaded with tremendous huge rocks which make the climb a troublesome one. The enchanting Pisang Peak looks the unscathed towns of Pisang and Yak Pastures which gives the visitors the opportunity experience and witness the civilizations in Nepalese Himalayans where the most ancient of cultures and traditions have been preserved courtesy of its remoteness.

The first expedition was led by a German expedition group in 1995 AD. A joint expedition package of the Annapurna Circuit and Pisang Peak Climbing is match made in heaven for enthusiastic and experienced alpine climbers and also climbers with less experience. Absolute Trek’s intricate and detailed itinerary is made by professional climbers and guides utilizing their years of experiences in the mountains to guarantee you a safest trek and climbing to make memories for a lifetime.

We will start our journey from Besi Sahar in Lamjung after travelling there in a tourist bus from Kathmandu. A main highlight of the whole journey will be Thorong La Pass (5,416m) which will grant trekkers with spellbinding views of western mountains. To reach the base camp from beautiful Gurung village of Pisang, we will trek through the sparsely forested refions and also pastures to reach Kharka (4,380m) which is the optimum place to set up the base camp for the night. Another camp known as “High Camp” will be set up at an altitude of 5,400m, ascending to a shoulder on South-West Ridge. The dominant ridge leads to the last snow slop which is very steep, but, not very difficult to ascend the summit. We will make the descent from the same route. We will also visit the land beyond the mountains, Kagbeni, and religiously and historically eminent temple of Muktinath.

The campaign will be approximately 20 days long and the highest elevation throughout the trek will be 6,091m. We will spend the nights in motels, tea houses and camps as per the region. For the campaign, the trekkers will have to walk 6-7 hours on average and on some days it can also extent to 8 hours.  We will cover the distance of 7 to 12 kilometers on average.

The most suitable time for Pisang Peak climbing is autumn (October and November) and spring (April and May). The months are chosen on the basis of climate and visibility.

We at Absolute Treks are fully committed to make your experience second to none at the lap of the youngest peaks in the world.
