The Himalayan country of Nepal was closed to foreigner until 1950s. Thus, the country has always been a subject of fascination to people from different walk of lives like researchers, trekkers, scholars, and travel lovers alike. In the medieval times, the Kathmandu valley was divided into 3 kingdoms, with each kingdom trying to outdo other in terms of architecture. Thus, the history has given us beautiful and exemplary settlements from medieval times.

In Kathmandu, we will visit the courtyards and palaces of these three former kingdoms which are listed in the UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites.  The beautiful wooden carved palaces and porches, the countless shrines and stupas, and the perpetual vibrancy of the old Newari settlements will transfer you to a period dating back to centuries, which is just an hour’s drive from the International Airport. We will also visit the holy shrines and stupas of Pashupati Nath, Swayambhu Nath, and Boudha Nath among other temples which are of great historical and religious importance to Hindus and Buddhists alike in the country. The valley of Kathamndu is endowed with 7 world heritage sites, which we will visit in span of 2 days.

Once, the Kathmandu Valley was divided into three kingdoms. The positive side of those time were, each kingdom wanted to outdo the other kingdoms in terms of art and craft. That is the reason, now we can admire and enjoy the unbelievable dedication in building the temples, Palaces, Stupas and Natural Water sprouts etc. The Kathmandu valley itself is endowed with seven World Heritage sites.
